Monthly Meeting Updates: November 2011


This month the Board Of Zoning Appeals, City Planning Commission, and the Design Review Committee have met to discuss new business that has been brought before them:

Board Of Zoning Appeals
(Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 1:30 p.m.)

CASE NO. 11-12 Appeal by Graigh Snovak for a variance to reduce the rear yard setback from 25 feet to 10 feet; to build a storage shed. The property in question is located at 2918 Mahoning Avenue in a B-2 General Business Zoning District. Approve.

CASE NO. 11-13 Appeal by the Mary Ann Ginn for the Notice for Violation-Storage of the Recreational Vehicle, dated October 7, 2011 Section 79.02 of the City of Youngstown Zoning Ordinance. The Property in question is located at 327 Redondo Road in an R-12, Single-Family Residential Zoning district. Deny.

REF NO. 15-11 Request by Newport ridge Management for waiver to establish a regulated use within a 500 foot radius of another regulated use; description of regulated use to be established is an internet café. The property in question is located at 3408 Canfield Road in a B-3, Community Business zoning District.Approved.

Public Input Meeting: November 28th!





The City of Youngstown will be holding a Public Input Meeting next Monday to discuss Module 2 of the redevelopment code with the public. This will be an opportunity to express comments and concerns over the general provisions, development standards and review procedures over Module 2 of the redevelopment code.

Free Leaf Composting!



The City of Youngstown is offering leaf composting that is free to all Youngstown residents. The program, which started on October 3rd, is providing free leaf bags while supplies last! Curbside pickup will be provided to those who want to participate!
 

If you are interested, please pick up free leaf bags at the center Litter Control & Recycling.  The schedule for leaf bag pick up depends on which side of town you reside.
